The PTTI calls for funding Feasibility Studies and Demonstrators are still ongoing and a new evaluation will take place this year. Through the PTTI, Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN) offers to support Feasibility Studies and Demonstrators on space technologies potentially applicable to non-space markets by making ESA funding available for technology transfer.

The 4th call for proposal evaluation is currently open and the applications must be submitted to IPN, in .pdf, to ptti@ipn.pt. The submission deadline closes on May 8th 17:00 (GMT+00).

As in previous evaluations, the proposals will be evaluated by an Evaluation Board composed of ESA, FCT and five other distinguished members, representing the space and non-space sectors, as well as academia. The evaluation criteria and Application Instructions (http://ptti.ipn.pt/pages/forms) remain unchanged.

Further information about the main rules of the programme is available at the PTTI website (http://ptti.ipn.pt), in particular, at http://ptti.ipn.pt/pages/guidelines. Please note the PTTI Guidelines will be updated shortly to disclose the available amount available for the 4th Evaluation.

So far, the PTTI programme received 18 proposals from space companies and R&D institutes from different locations in Portugal and funded 9 projects (6 Demonstrators and 3 Feasibility Studies) in 7 different non-space sectors (automotive, civil applications of UAVs, logistics, railway, pipeline insulation, medical devices and renewable energy). The entities funded by the PTTI were so far: Critical Software, DEIMOS Engenharia, GMVSkysoft, UNINOVA, Lusospace, ISQ, Active Aerogels and Evoleo Technologies.
